stephan slips – month eight or nine or ten

November 5, 2010

Sometimes we over-anticipate.

We hunker down for a long winter nap when some warm southern wind blows in a pleasant autumn — We settle in with a magazine in the crowded waiting room, and the nurse at the desk calls our name first — We psych ourselves up for a long class, but the fire alarm rings.
You get the picture.

Sometimes we just don’t have to wait as long as we expected.

Stephan (AKA mephisto19) sent me a message last week. He accidentally developed one of the rolls that he had intended to wait for.

You can view the rest of Stephan’s early roll here.

When one sets out to wait, there are many possible outcomes. Not having to wait as long as one anticipates is only one of those obtainable outcomes.
