a tuesday diversion

April 27, 2010

Good afternoon all.

I love starting with a time-of-day specific greeting on the internet; it always makes me feel a little cheeky.

Good evening and morning to the rest of you.

For the few dozen of you regularly following this project, you may have noticed that things have slowed down a little in the last month. There are a variety of reasons for this – some only coincidental – but overall, things have been kind of rough in my life recently. I’m not interested in sharing details publicly, but the road looks like it will be rough for a little while. Rest assured, I am committed to this project for the year – even if the intensity of it may ebb and flow occasionally.

A few minutes ago a came across this collaborative project by zefrank that I felt I needed to share wherever I could.

Go to http://www.zefrank.com/chillout/ and read it from the top to the bottom.

Then listen to this:

Sometimes we don’t know what we’re waiting for. That’s not always a reason to quit waiting.

Sometimes we wait for nothing.

Sometimes we wait for everything.

Sometimes we wait and wait only to find ourselves in the wrong spot/line/queue, and find that we have to move to the next spot and start waiting again.

Sometimes I start to get pseudo-metaphorical and realize that I’m not making much sense.

Sometimes it’s appropriate to stop and wait until we’ve taken our next breath.

Just breathe.
