e(L)ements (I)n (S)p(A)ce and time (waits)

January 26, 2010

One way to communicate the concept of waiting is to use the illustration of starting a small snowball rolling at the top of a huge hill. What will happen as it makes its way downward; gathering mass, gaining speed? The outcome is not known…but once it has started on this path, you have little to say about what will come next. What can you do but wait?

As I anticipated, we are nearing the end of the first month, and the contributions are starting to come in more quickly. Today I received my first combination; both a response to my invitation, AND a January update in one…

Lisa Dotzauer is waiting in Oxfordshire, you can read her responses to the initial interview questions here. She also sent this postcard image that I can only understand as the beginning of something worth waiting for.
